Siel Agugliaro is currently enrolled in the Ph.D program in Music History at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a Ph.D in Comparative Studies from the University of Siena (Italy). His research explores the connection between music and identity, both in a personal and in a collective sense. His most recent work, a social history on the Teatro alla Scala in the years after 1968, has been recently published as a monograph by Feltrinelli Editore (Milan, Italy).
