Jon Felt

D. Jonathan Felt is an associate professor of Chinese History at Brigham Young University. He researches and teaches about early imperial Chinese history, world history, history of empires, and environmental history. His first book, Structures of the Earth: Metageographies of Early Medieval China, explores the first development of the literary genre of geographical writing during the third to seventh centuries, the shifting geospatial dynamics of this age, and the development of new spatial frameworks to make sense of these shifting dynamics.
