Ayelet Haimson Lushkov is an Associate Professor of Classics at UT-Austin. She specializes in Roman historiography, especially Livy, political narratives, and the literary art of historical prose. Her writing has been published in the Guardian, USA Today, CNN, The Hill, Chronicle of Higher Education, the Independent and the Austin Statesman, as well as in scholarly monographs and articles. Her latest book, You Win or You Die: the Ancient World of Game of Thrones, came out in 2017
