Imke Tammen
I have a degree in veterinary medicine and a Dr. med. vet. (PhD equivalent) from the Hanover School of Veterinary Medicine in Germany as well as a Master in Education (Higher Education) and a Master in Bioethics from the University of Sydney.
My research expertise is animal genetics with a focus on the molecular characterisation of inherited diseases in livestock. In 2020, I joined Emeritus Prof. Frank Nicholas as curator of Online Mendelian Inheritance in Animals (OMIA, https://www.omia.org/). A key strength is my multidisciplinary approach with additional research interests in higher education and bioethics.
