Demir Alp was a Plant Humanities intern at Dumbarton Oaks during the Winter session in 2025. He is an undergraduate student at Harvard University studying Comparative Literature with an emphasis on German and Philosophy.
Used heavily in early medicine and at times for opposing aims, the pomegranate shows a marked versatility in its cultural connotations and connections.
